The text is the title of Mayra Buvinic's article, published in Foreign Policy's Fall 1997 issue. She examines difficult work experiences for women in developing countries and the existing obstacles to their success as they contribute to "feminizing" poverty. By expanding the definition of "poverty" to encompass well-being along with income, she shows the "new" problematic trends (lack of time, credit access, leisure from domestic demands, etc).
